Concentrix Studios
May 28, 2009
This local sound and recording studio came to Dragonfly Designs looking for a sleek image for their new space. The owners, Fred Story and his wife Becky, had a vision of a space that was inviting and warm as well as colorful and contemporary. This project allowed Dragonfly Designs to collaborate with sound technicians and architects to implement varied finishes throughout the space. Incorporating hardwoods, stone, carpet, fabrics, and furnishings into an eye catching, yet warming color palette allows this space to be urban and edgy. Working studios were designed around each artist’s personal selections of color as well as the furnishings. The private recording studios were designed to coordinate with the rest of the space. The break room saved a piece of Charlotte’s history by reclaiming old booths from the Mantis restaurant on South Blvd.
