Met Lofts Uptown Residence
January 21, 2010
This loft was a total turn key design project. A dramatic 19′-0″ ceiling height greets you as you enter this two bedroom loft in Uptown. With the large windows flooding the entire space with natural light, the use of remote control solar shades allows the owner to control not only the amount of light but also the amount of heat as well. Pendant lighting above the freestanding bar top creates a visual separation within the kitchen and living areas. The upstairs of this unit includes a second bedroom and adjoining bath as well as a small office space and den area.
The dramatic windows draws your attention to the view and the expanse of the space itself
Contemporary style chair dressed in a stone colored leather dress up the living area
From above the kitchen and living room wall colors compliment the dark bamboo flooring
The large windows allow the natural light to carry the color on the large walls within the kitchen and living room areas
The open floorplan of the space places the kitchen in close proximity to the living area
The use of color on the wall behind the kitchen cabinets divides the space into kitchen and living areas
Inspiring artwork inspires me to pull color onto the walls of the master bedroom
The upstairs den provides the owner with a more intimate space for movie watching
